Masada & Dead Sea Day Tour
Depart from your hotel early morning to descend through the Judean Desert towards the Dead Sea, pass the ancient city of Jericho.
As we descend towards the lowest spot on the planet we will make a first stop at Qasr El Yahud, the "Castle of the Jews" the western part of the traditional site of the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist.
Continue our journey through time and make a stop at Qumran Caves, the archaeological site where the Dead Sea scrolls were written and found.
Ascend to the top of Masada by cable car to the historical fortress, to tour the magnificent site observing the desert. Walk through the remains of the ancient synagogue and Roman bathhouses. Learn about the tragic story of the last defenders of the stronghold against the Romans.
We will take a short nature walk through Ein Gedi Oasis- enjoying the fresh water natural waterfalls.
Relaxation will be needed after all this sightseeing. No better place for that other than the Dead sea- Relax, float and read newspaper and put on mud at the lowest point on earth.
Head aboard your coach and relax on your return journey back to the pick-up location.
Your tour only ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
