Israel Tour 2015  

A once in a lifetime opportunity to connect with Israel with your community. 

Day 1 

BRUCHIM HABA'IM

  • Arrive and meet with tour guide

  • Have a "Shehecheyanu" ceremony on the beach, relax, check in to lodging. 

  • Welcome Dinner- walk on the Tel Aviv boardwalk to dinner at local restaurant, experience first delicious taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. 

  • Short coverage of the overall itinerary by the tour guide included.

 

 

Overnight:  Tel Aviv

Day 2 

The Mystical Galilee

  • Drive north to the Sea of Galilee - the Kinneret.

  • Hike the Arbel cliff, see amazing views of the whole Galilee and Golan from one spot. 

  • Option : Short hike or long hike with beautiful views of the North of Israel. 

  • Tzfat: Explore spirituality in the birthplace of Jewish mysticism/Kabbalah.

  • Jeep Tour-Tour the Golan Heights in the footsteps of the I.D.F in 1967.

  • Chocolate workshop-Hands on experience designing your own chocolate creation.

  • Kibbutz experience-Tour and learn about the social community of the pioneers.

 

Overnight: Ein Gev Village -Kibbutz on the Kinneret

Day 3

Security & Water In The Northern Border

  • Hike Jilabun stream- A beautiful hike down a waterfall next to an old Syrian base Israel over took and an ancient Jewish village from 2000 years ago. 

  • Possible split to visit the Katsrin Talmudic village -with an Ancient Galliele Synagogue

  • Druze village visit - Amazing Druze lunch followed by a brief lecture about the Druze religion. Included: Kosher.

  • Visit Tank Base on the Golan - Talk to a tank crew and ... climb into a real tank! 

  • Mt. Bental-Observe Syria from a "sleeping" volcano.

  • Winery- Tour and tasting in the land of the vineyards.

Day 4 

Jerusalem : The Heart of Israel

Day 5

Jerusalem: Layers & Links In The Chain Of Generations

  • Drive to Jerusalem - Pass through the Jordan Valley and Jericho on our way to the holy city. 

  • Welcome to Jerusalem- Traditional "Shehecheyanu" ceremony observing the Old City & the Temple Mt. from Mt. Scopus. Hebrew U Campus.

  • Check in to the King Solomon Hotel on David street next to the King David Hotel. 

  • Visit the Kotel 

  • Do a Tikkun Olam Project - variety to choose from. We'll offer you the one that best fits your community.

  • Tour the Jewish quarter and go up on the ramparts.

 

 

Overnight: Jerusalem 

  • Start from the Southern Wall Excavation & Davidson Center- Explore the ancient way of Jewish pilgrimage to the Hulda gates.

  • Western Wall Tunnels- Stroll along the wall underneath the ground.

  • The City of David -Visit the new Archeological site. 

  • Explore the Hezekaia tunnel.

  • Visit the Machane Yehuda market, just before Shabbat at its peak. Walk around the bakeries and shops and get some last treats for Shabbat.

  • Go to Kabbalat Shabbat at the Kotel - Dance! 

 

Overnight: Jerusalem 

Day 6

Shabbat in Jerusalem

 

  • Rest and have service

  • Possible walk to the Israel Museum-Tour in the National Museum including a model of the city of Jerusalem as it looked during the time of the Second Temple, visit the Shrine of the Book, the Archeological Finds exhibit, the Modern Art exhibit, and an exhibit highlighting synagogues from all over the world.

Day 7

The Myths Of Jewish Heroism

Day 8

From Old to New

  • Drive to the Dead Sea 

  • Masada-Hike or go by cable car to tour the historical site observing the desert. 

  • Ein Gedi Oasis-Nature walk enjoying the fresh water natural waterfalls. 

  • Dead Sea- Relax & read a newspaper on the lowest point on Earth.

 

Overnight: Jerusalem

  • Visit Yad Vashem - Tour the National Museum of the Holocaust. Split by age groups , possibility for a teens group and the younger kids to go to the biblical zoo

  • Go to the Time Elevator show - A 30 minutes cinema show of the history of Jerusalem.

  • Drive to Maalee edomim and to the Biblical Abraham's camp dress up and meet 

  • Abraham himself for a close talk about god. 

  • Leave Jerusalem and drive to the the desert

  • Get to the Beduin camp and go in to a hospitality tent to talk with a beduin man about the heritage of the men of the desert. 

  • Eat a Beduin dinner .included. Kosher.

Day 9

Negev : The Vast desert of Israel

  • Hike in Ovdat Oassis - Easy  hike.

  • Visit Ben Gurions grave at sde boker Kibbutz.

  • Dig for a day - Visit Beit Guverin caves and dig for Ancient relics. 

  • Ayalon Institute- A secret ammunition factory used during British mandate time.

  • Drive to Tel Aviv.

 

 

Overnight Tel Aviv 

Day 10

In The Beginning- The First Hebrew City Tel-Aviv

Day 11

SHALOM VE'LEHITRAOT

  • Jaffa-The ancient city port and artists' colony. 

  • Independence Hall- The new born Jewish state birthplace

  • Visit Palmach Museum- Anything but a boring museum , a moving cinema show 

  • that shows the beginning of the Israeli army

  • Tel-Aviv colorful vibration in Nachalat Binyamin, Carmel market & Shenkin st. the place to be on a Friday noon in Tel Aviv

  • Farwell Dinner-Festive dinner in a unique local restaurant.

 

Overnight: Tel Aviv 

Drive to the Airport
